Weddings at Faith Chapel
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one.
Genesis 2:24
Thank you for your interest in getting married at Faith Chapel! We consider it an honor and a privilege to share in this significant chapter of your lives as you approach your wedding day and begin your marriage. Here is some information to help
you get started.
**Please note that all Faith Chapel Weddings must be officiated by one of our pastors, but we are more than happy to work with you to personalize your ceremony.
What Costs Should I Expect?
We know weddings are expensive and we have tried to keep our fees as low as possible to best meet your needs while covering the costs of the facilities. Once these fees are paid, your date for the facility and your pastor request can be secured.
Onsite Wedding (at Faith Chapel) - $550
Includes expenses for premarital support, use of the
facility, your Wedding Assistant, and tech support.
Offsite Wedding (with a Faith Chapel Pastor Officiating) - $250 (see below travel expenses)
Includes expenses for premarital support and your Wedding Assistant.
Travel Expenses: Our pastors are happy to travel if necessary, but if the wedding is outside a 30-mile radius of Faith Chapel, travel expenses must be provided for the officiating pastor and possibly the Assistant. We use
the government standard for mileage of $0.54/mile. If an overnight stay is necessary, expenses would also include food and lodging, which would be included in the final cost.
Honorariums:
Our Pastors do not receive any compensation for officiating your wedding. Because of this it is customary to give them a Pastoral Honorarium as an expression of your gratitude for any premarital meetings, preparation for your ceremony and for performing
the wedding. The amount of the gift is left to the discretion of the engaged couple, but a suggested amount would be $200. This is usually given to the pastor during the rehearsal (checks should be made out directly to the pastor). Honorariums are both
appropriate and appreciated!
How Do I Get Started?
Getting started is easy:
Step 1:
Complete the
Wedding Contact Form to indicate the day you want to have your wedding.
Step 2:
Once we receive this form, we will contact you to confirm that your date and/or pastor is available (but not yet guaranteed) and to schedule a meeting between the engaged couple and Marc Johnson, our premarital Pastor.
Step 3:
During your time with Pastor Marc, he will discuss the church’s policies and our premarital process and answer any questions you may have. After this meeting, and once your fees have been paid, your date and pastor are guaranteed.
Step 4:
At Faith Chapel we’re committed to helping every marriage begin on a firm foundation. For this reason, all couples married by Faith Chapel’s pastors are required to participate in
Before Marriage Coaching.
Step 5:
You will be contacted by your Wedding Assistant two to three months before your wedding date to coordinate the details of your ceremony. She will work directly with you and the officiating pastor to make sure your day is everything you’ve always hoped it could be.
